Welcome to the Superintendent’s Spotlight! In this section, Dr. Brummett will highlight (via video) a variety of programs, initiatives, and projects happening throughout Plainville Community Schools.

Plainville High School faculty member Mark Chase together with students from the Transportation Education classes at Plainville High School, and Lieutenant Eric Peterson were featured in the “What’s Right With Schools” news segment on WTNH Channel 8, in conjunction with the Connecticut Association of Schools. The group was highlighted for their bicycle refurbishment initiative in collaboration with the Plainville Police Department. The students regularly refurbish old and abandoned bicycles that are then donated back to the community through the Plainville Community Food Pantry. The initiative has been generously supported by a grant from the Elizabeth Norton Trust fund.
