Soon to be retired Superintendent of the Canton, Connecticut public school district, Kevin Case, has been named interim superintendent of Plainville Community Schools, according to Plainville Board of Education Chair, Lori Consalvo.
Case will serve as the interim superintendent while a search is conducted for the superintendent position in Plainville. Case has been an educator for 37 years, and superintendent in Canton for 16 years.
The Plainville Boad of Education is working together with Cooperative Executive Searches (CES) on the hiring of a permanent superintendent for the Plainville school district. CES is one of six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs) supporting public schools in Connecticut.
Case will begin as interim superintendent on July 1, 2023.
