Louis Toffolon Elementary School fifth graders, together with faculty members Susan Fabrizio and Shayla Quirion, recently attended Camp Sloper in Southington, Connecticut to participate in a series of team building activities. The students engaged in several collaborative tasks such as building machines with their bodies, then creating stars, trapezoids and rectangles with a large circle of rope. At the end of each activity, students were asked to reflect on what went well and what changes could be made to achieve more success with their tasks. The students also enjoyed some free time on the famous “tube slide” and other group activities with their classmates in the camp.
