If you are interested in having your child attend one of our developmental screenings or if you have any questions regarding the screening process, please call Plainville’s Department of Special Services at (860) 793-3214.

Five Plainville High School Class of 2019 members were awarded scholarships through the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain. They include: Kyle Guarco - William G. ("Billy") Bryant Scholarship, Zachary Santini - William G. ("Billy") Bryant Scholarship, Cheyenne Gregory - Macdonald / Hjerpe Scholarship, Abby McGough - Louis Mattioli Matt Music Scholarship, and Madeline Rund - William J.Tomasso Scholarship.

Farewell Reception to be Held for Superintendent Brummett

Plainville Community Schools will hold a “Farewell Reception” for Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Maureen Brummett, who will be leaving the Plainville school district in July to become Superintendent for the Newington, Connecticut school system.

Community Invited to Share Feedback on Strategic Plan Progress Via “Thoughtexchange”

Plainville Community Schools is seeking community feedback regarding the school district’s progress on strategic plan goals, and will once again utilize “Thoughtexchange” - a short, simple, web based information gathering tool, according to Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Maureen Brummett. The district initially used Thoughtexchange in 2016 to gather stakeholder feedback to inform the strategic planning process at that time.

Unveiling the Ted Christopher Wall of Wrestling Champions

The Plainville Board of Education and Plainville Community Schools will host a banner unveiling ceremony honoring the Ted Christopher Wall of Wrestling Champions at Plainville High School. The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 6:00PM at the Athletic Memorial Wall of Honor located in the Kegel Gymnasium at Plainville High School, 47 Robert Holcomb Way. A reception will follow in the Plainville High School cafeteria.
