Plainville High School Theater Unlimited actresses Hailey Calder, Lily Feyerabend, Zeyana Thigpen, Janessa Freitas, Marissa Freitas, and Sofia Maksymiw, together with Assistant Director Nikolas Diaz and Advisor / faculty member TJ Riccardo,  joined in a virtual meeting with  Tim McArthur, author of the play “A Word for Mother.” McArthur learned that the Plainville High School theater group  will be performing his show in March, and reached out to congratulate the cast. This will be the first time the play has been performed on stage. The playwright and student cast members discussed motivation and characterization, providing a deeper insight into the play which examines family relationships. The play will also be the first performance in the new Plainville High School “Black Box Theater”,  which was funded  and built by the Theater Unlimited Group. The play "A Word For Mother" will be performed Friday, March 18th at  7:30 pm and Saturday March 19th at noon and 7:30 pm. The performances are open to the public, but with limited seating. Tickets are available at the door.
