Recruitment of administrators and supervisors shall be by the superintendent, who shall review and screen candidates together with a committee. Members of this committee are named by the superintendent. The superintendent and/or his/her designee are automatically members. Other members may be principals, director of instruction, teachers and other administrators.
Employment of administrators and supervisors shall be the result of the nomination of the superintendent and the majority vote of the board. Administrators and supervisors will include the positions of assistant superintendent, business manager, directors, principals, and supervisors, and other positions, which may be related to the foregoing.
The committee conducts a rigorous examination of all candidates from within and outside the system. Candidates from other systems may be visited in their home district. The final recommendation rests with the superintendent and is subject to board approval.
