Board / School District Recognized for Excellence in Leadership and Communication

(Plainville, CT) The Plainville school district has been recognized with several awards from the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE), according to Superintendent of Schools, Brian Reas.
The Plainville Board of Education received  the “CABE Board Leadership Award” which highlights excellence in Board Leadership / Student Achievement, Professional Development, Policy, Community Relations and Related Organizational Leadership. This awards  program was created in 1998 to recognize excellence in the leadership activities of local boards of education.  This is the 15th consecutive year that the Plainville Board of Education has received this award. The group was  recognized at the 2024 CABE/CAPSS Convention on November 15th.
Plainville Community Schools also received a total of 9 CABE Bonnie B. Carney Awards of Excellence for Educational Communications. In recognition of the good work that is being done on a daily basis, CABE established the Awards of Excellence for Educational Communications in 1975. This year, the Plainville school district was recognized with first place awards for: the Plainville Community Schools X account - Social Media category, the Unplugged: Energy Conservation Newsletter – Newsletter  category,  the Plainville Community Schools district website -  Website category, the Plainville Adult and Continuing Education Program Guide -  Course Selection Guide category, the Toffolon Staff Shout Out Padlet – Special Project category, and the Toffolon Summer Fun Padlet – Special Project category. Additionally, the school district was recognized with Honorable Mention awards for: the Plainville Community Schools Staff Notes newsletter – Newsletter category,  the Plainville Community Schools Business Brief – Annual Report category, and  the Plainville Community Schools School  / Business / Community Partnership Program E-newsletter – Computer Generated Project category.
