Upon approval of the Board of Education and as a supplement to a particular course of instruction, staff members may conduct educational tours (defined as any student study trip which requires an overnight stay), within or without the district, the state of Connecticut or the United States, for the students or employees, or both, of any school or schools within the district. Such tours must be clearly connected to one or more curricular areas and must demonstrate significant learning opportunities for the students attending.
