New Director of Facilities Named for Plainville Community Schools

Michael Smith, former Vice President of Operations for CCARC, Inc., in New Britain, Connecticut,  has been named Facilities Director for Plainville Community Schools, according to Superintendent of Schools, Steven LePage. Smith  will replace former Facilities Director, Steve Busel, who retired in July  after serving in that capacity for 18 years. He was selected through an extensive search process conducted by the school district.

Smith brings a wealth of experience to the Facilities Director position having served in various facilities management roles at both CCARC, Inc., and the New Britain Museum of American Art, in New Britain, Connecticut.
  
Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Connecticut State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford.  He currently resides in Plainville with his wife and two children.
