Care Solace LogoPlainville Community Schools is partnering with a new mental health support resource, Care Solace, according to Superintendent of Schools, Steven LePage.
Care Solace is a cost free, confidential, accessible service that seeks to address mental health needs with well-vetted professionals in the local area, regardless of insurance. “If anyone has tried to access mental health supports for a loved one experiencing difficulties, you know that it can be a very challenging and lengthy process. Essentially, this service was created to help individuals access the mental health supports and care they need in a way that removes many of the typical barriers and obstacles faced when trying to find the right care for your needs,” explained LePage.
With Care Solace, families and staff gain access to a dedicated concierge to navigate the mental health care system on their behalf, calling providers to find the right fit and availability. They help individuals and families with private insurance, Medicaid, and no insurance, and are available 24/7 in any language.
School district administrators and support staff will also participate in an orientation and training as part of the Care Solace resource launch for Plainville Community Schools, prior to the start of the 2021-22 school year. Plainville families and staff members may access Care Solace services immediately in the following ways:

Care Solace does not require a name, address, phone number or date of birth, and all information entered on the Care Solace tool is completely confidential and securely stored.

“I am very pleased that we are able to provide another resource to help support students, families and our staff in accessing mental health support in a timely and targeted way. My hope is that the multilayered web of support we have woven across our district will help to catch those who are struggling, before falling too far,” noted Superintendent LePage.
