“With two internal candidate outcomes, some might ask why we would go through such a time consuming, extensive and comprehensive internal and external search and interview process for hiring our two new school principals. The answer is simple; we wanted to ensure that our selections took all options into account. This process gave us a chance to see who was in the mix and we were able to look at who would be the best skilled and best fit principals for our district. We were also able to consider all stakeholders’ voice in the process, whether through surveys or in person interview opportunities. Ultimately, in the end, we had to be sure we considered all options and made the very best choice for Toffolon and MSP, as we went about filling the large shoes of two Plainville leadership legends. The Board of Education and I are very confident in our final selections. These wonderful people, and leaders, will lead the next generation of Plainville staff and learners through the challenges and opportunities ahead, and I look forward to witnessing and supporting their growth as principals. On behalf of our students, staff and families, I sincerely congratulate Aimee Roberts and Alicia Atterrato on their well-earned appointments,” noted Superintendent of Schools, Steven LePage.

Atterrato was named the candidate of choice for the Toffolon Principal position at a special Board of Education meeting held on April 21st and Roberts was named the candidate of choice for the Middle School of Plainville Principal position at a special Board of Education meeting held on April 26th; they will both begin in their respective principal roles on July 1st.
