March 3 will be the start of our spring reading incentive program. The theme is “Go For the Gold!” in anticipation of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Your child will have the opportunity to earn a bronze, silver, and gold reading tag by the end of the reading program. For every 20 minutes your child reads, initial an Olympic ring on the reading log. When the sheet is complete, have your child return it to school. For every completed sheet, a tag will be earned. New reading logs will be given when tags are earned. The reading program will continue through May. There will be a celebration in the beginning of June for all students who receive a gold tag.
