A message from our principal,
Mr. Greg Ziogas

Welcome to the Plainville High School homepage. Plainville High School is a comprehensive high school with full accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. We have approximately 850 students and 82 educational instructors. The two assistant principals oversee a House and assigned school counselors. Assistant Principal Kathy Carter is responsible for all students in the White House. School counselors Aldo Vallera, Richard Keithan and Susan Lorenzo counsel students with last names ending in A-K. Jonathan Coe is responsible for all students in the Blue House. School counselors Denise Jacobson, Patricia Grant and Susan Lorenzo counsel students with last names ending L-Z. The School Counseling Instructional Leader is Susan Lorenzo.

We are committed to academic and athletic excellence for all students. We offer a variety of athletic teams and co-curricular clubs and activities. Through all these educational opportunities, we help to provide a well rounded learning experience for all students. We have an organized unified sports program for our special needs students. Our outstanding choral group, Swing Unlimited, has performed at the White House and our band and jazz band have performed throughout the United States. Drama productions are held yearly to the rave reviews of our students and the general public. The Art Department has had numerous winners in scholastic art contests at the state and national level.

Our Parent Advisory Council meets monthly and programs are provided for students and parents through this council. We encourage all our students and parents to become actively involved in Plainville High School in some fashion.

Greg Ziogas
Principal
