BOE Member Foster White Recognized By The Connecticut Association Of Boards Of Education

pcs boe member foster white with superintendent steven lepage and boe chair deb hardy Plainville Board of Education member Foster White has earned the CABE (Connecticut Association of Boards of Education) “Certified Board of Education Member” designation, according to Superintendent of Schools, Steven LePage.
In order to achieve this designation, White earned the required 20 credits in the areas of board relations, policy, curriculum, school finance, school law, labor relations, and board operations.
In a congratulatory letter from CABE, it was noted that White’s attendance at numerous CABE /CAPSS Conventions, CABE workshops and programs, and other events, resulted in the accrual of a wide variety of skills, knowledge and abilities, noting that his commitment to public education and to children in the Plainville community is admirable.
"Foster White is a dedicated Plainville Board of Education member who has been incredibly supportive of our schools and our students since assuming his position on the Board nearly seven years ago. In addition to the dozens of volunteer organizations he has been dedicated to for many years, Foster continues to model the importance of life-long learning through his efforts taken to achieve this CABE distinction. Plainville is fortunate to have someone of Mr. White’s caliber serving the community in multiple ways,” commented Superintendent LePage.
White was recognized at the October 15th Plainville Board of Education. He has been a Board member since February, 2013.
