Jeff Wallowitz Named Principal of Linden Street School

Jeff Wallowitz, formerly an elementary school principal in the West Hartford, Connecticut school system, has been named principal of Linden Street School, according to Superintendent of Schools, Steven LePage. Wallowitz was selected through an extensive search process conducted by the Linden Principal Steering Committee, comprised of Linden teachers, staff, parents and district administration.

Wallowitz served as principal at Webster Hill Elementary School in West Hartford, Connecticut since 2008. Prior to that he was principal of Van Buren Moody Elementary School in Middletown, Connecticut, and during his tenure as an educator, has served as an assistant principal in the Berlin, Connecticut school system, and a curriculum specialist and fifth grade teacher with the West Hartford, Connecticut school system. Additionally, he currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Saint Joseph.

Wallowitz holds an Administrative Sixth Year Certificate from Sacred Heart University, as well as Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Central Connecticut State University. He was appointed Linden Street School Principal at a special meeting of the Plainville Board of Education held on June 16th.

Linden seems like a very special place and I am honored to be a part of it,” said Wallowitz.
