New Assistant Principal Named at the Middle School of Plainville

Ryan Cornelius, former educator in the New Britain, Connecticut public school district, has been named Assistant Principal at the  Middle School of Plainville,  according to Superintendent of Schools, Steven LePage.  Cornelius will replace former Assistant Principal  Aimee Roberts, who was recently named Principal of the Middle School of Plainville.

Cornelius has been an educator since 2010, serving as a sixth-grade math teacher and department head in the Consolidated School District of New Britain, as well as a faculty member in both the Safford and Mesa public school districts in Arizona. 

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Adrian College, a Master of Education degree in Educational Technology from Northern Arizona University, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University. 

 “We welcome Ryan to our leadership team at the Middle School of Plainville. He brings a balance of educational knowledge, professional skills and personal attributes that the interview panel, Board of Education and I unanimously believe will be a perfect fit for our middle school community. We look forward to everyone getting to know Ryan and making him a part of the Plainville family, as we all pull together to support our kids and one another,” noted Superintendent of Schools, Steven LePage.

Cornelius was named the candidate of choice for the Assistant Principal position at a special Board of Education meeting held on July 27th.
