First, the student club members made a digital slideshow of support for the radiology nurses at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in Southington. Student Club member Juliana Radziewicz’s mother is a radiology nurse at the hospital and club members wanted to support her and her co-workers by sending them the digital slideshow, pizza and grinders! In addition, the First Responders Fan Club  members  made a digital slideshow of support for Army, Sergeant Major (SGM)  Houle and his guard force. SGM Houle is a Connecticut National Guard member who has been stationed in Cuba since January. Prior to the pandemic, the club members sent many letters and packages to SGM Houle and the guard force.  To go along with the digital slideshow, the group also arranged for a pizza delivery for the guard force members. On May 16th the First Responders Fan Club received an American flag that was flown over the Cuban military base on May 2nd, a special pentagon coin, and a certificate from the guard force group.
