Delayed Openings
In the event of inclement weather, the Plainville Community Schools may delay opening school 60 minutes, 90 minutes or 2 hours. The Connect-ED automated messaging system is utilized to directly contact parents who have selected this option, in the event of weather-related closings or delays. In addition, area radio and television stations will broadcast appropriate announcements. These announcements will also be accessible on the Internet at Connecticut Weather Center’s website http://www.ctweather.com. If school is delayed, all morning transportation will be delayed accordingly. If the delay is 90 minutes or two hours, morning kindergarten and pre kindergarten classes will be cancelled.
