From the Board

Board of Education expands the role of Linden Street School's Steering Committee to include a Long-Range Plan for all schools

The expanded charge to the Steering Committee was the result of a town-wide survey, seeking input from citizens about the Linden Street School project. The architectural firm of Fletcher-Thompson Inc. was hired to evaluate the needs of the entire school system and to develop a Long-Range Plan to meet those needs.

The following information reflects the Long-Range Plan and how the Linden Street School plays the "Key" role in its development

Linden Street School
"Key" to Long-Range Plan

The contract to develop conceptual plans and cost analysis for the Linden Street School was awarded to the architectural firm of Jeter Cook & Jepson by the Building Committee. The proposed plan addresses the issues at Linden Street School while supporting the Long-Range Plan.

The concept and subsequent plans have resulted in many favorable solutions to the concerns that face our schools. The proposed plan addresses and is sensitive to taxpayer cost concerns. It also addresses the need for additional classroom space to support curriculum and to meet projected enrollment increases.
