| First graders at Linden and Toffolon elementary schools celebrated the 100th day of school recently. First graders from both schools made projects to celebrate the 100th day and joined together for a parade to show off their work to fellow students. |

| Third grade students at Linden recently performed a
concert entitled “My Planet, Your Planet.” The
theme of the concert helped to raise awareness about
being “green” - students sang songs and spoke about
taking ownership in preserving the environment. |

| Bob Bloom came to visit Linden's first grade classes on Friday, February 8. Bob, an accomplished drummer, came to visit as part of the Bushnell Partners Program. He gave the children an opportunity to play different kinds of drums as well as learn many different songs native to Africa. |

Congratulations to Linden students who received the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents’ (CAPSS) Superintendent / Student Recognition Award and Certificate of Excellence at the 20th annual Superintendent’s Award Presentation held on Thursday, November 8th, during a luncheon at J. Timothy’s Restaurant. |

| On October 31, Linden Street School held it's first annual Vocabulary Parade! Each student chose a word, and with help from their teachers, created "wearable art" to describe the meaning of their chosen word. |
