A Message From Our Principal Welcome to Linden Street School. We are a diverse community with 406 students, representing six languages, and 80 staff members. We have children from pre-k to fifth grade. We are proud to have a Family Resource Center, which offers playgroups, parent workshops, adult ESL classes, home visits and support for daycare providers. The FRC also offers homework club and numerous other activities before and after school for our students. We also have an affiliation with the YMCA, offering before and after school daycare. Numerous groups; including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Plainville Recreation Department also meet at Linden. We are a true community school. In January of 2006 we moved into our brand new building and the renovation of our old building was completed in September of 2006. The last several years we all were very busy planning for the new school and we are so excited to finally be settled in. Our staff includes a full time psychologist, district social worker, Nurse, Reading Recovery Teachers, tutors, physical education, music, art and library specialist. We have Adult ESL classes during the day that includes programs for young children in the family. We also have an Early Links program that provides experiences for children entering kindergarten and their families.
