PHS "Adopt a Senior 2020" Program Seeks Community Support

While end of year activities and plans for the Plainville High School Class of 2020 graduation on June 12th are underway, a unique program has been developed by school and district administration, together with the high school’s Parent Advisory Council, as a tribute to the graduating senior class. The “Adopt a Senior 2020” initiative was created as a way to enhance this year’s non-traditional senior year events and graduation day festivities, in light of the current pandemic and restrictions on public gatherings.

Plainville High School Counselor Kelly Hickey was recognized as the school district’s Everyday Hero for the month of April. Kelly was nominated by the Mandeville Family for her outstanding dedication to students and extra efforts to make a difference. She was honored virtually during the April 20th Plainville Board of Education meeting.
