Plainville Family Resource Network
The Plainville Family Resource Network (PFRN) is a school, family, and community partnership working to help children grow and acquire literacy skills. The PFRN provides educational programs for children birth through elementary school age. It also provides programs for childcare givers and for parents.

PLAY GROUPS
- for Plainville families with young children and for Plainville child care providers at Linden Street School
- 9:15 - 10:45 am Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; Wednesdays 11:00 am-12:15 pm; Monday 6-7:15 pm.
All Plainville children birth to age 5 are welcome to attend with a parent, grandparent, childcare provider or other responsible adult. The mixed age group provides children with many social and language development opportunities. Parents have opportunities to play with their children and to interact with other parents. They may also borrow books, videos and other parenting information from a small lending library.

TURNING THREE
Birthday Party Screening for Plainville children turning 3 is scheduled once a month in room 106 of the Plainville High School. Please call Cathy Demers at (860) 793-6306 to register or to obtain information about the screening program.

BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL
Programs at Linden Street School include HomeWork Center, Brain Games, Tangrams, Business Club, and Machine Builders, Early Illustrators, Rise and Shine Readers, Pattern Blocks, Kids in the Kitchen, Artful Illustrators, Math and Storybook Fun, Morning Movers and Journal Writing Fun and more. Informational fliers will be sent home - parents are encouraged to participate with their children.
