The Plainville Family Resource Network (PFRN) is a school, family and community partnership working to help children grow and acquire literacy skills. The PFRN provides educational programs for children birth through elementary school age. It also provides programs for childcare givers and for parents. For more information about PFRN, click here.
Volunteers are an intergral component of the Plainville Community School System. Over the years, volunteers have shared their time and talent with thousands of Plainville students, energizing and enriching the students' educational experience. Volunteers continue to provide academic support to students, foster valuable friendships thorugh their role as mentors, assist staff in the classrooms, and the list goes on. Plainville Adult & Continuing Education provides a variety of courses for residents and non residents, 16 years or older. Courses include Basic Skills Courses, Connecticut State Diploma Program, Credit Diploma Program, Driver's Education, and Enrichment Courses.
