GED Connection Series airing on Nutmeg TV this March
The GED Connection series will air this March due to the collaborative efforts of the Plainville Adult and Continuing Education Department and Nutmeg Public Access Television, Inc. GED Connection is a syndicated series of instructional videos created by Kentucky Educational Television. The following subjects are covered within the 38 programs: Language Arts Reading and Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics.
GED Connection offers Nutmeg TV viewers the ability to receive GED instruction at home on a regular basis throughout the year. Jill Daley, Coordinator of Plainville Adult and Continuing Education, commented, "Our hope is that students already attending our GED preparation classes will watch GED Connection to supplement their in-class instruction, and we expect to attract new students as well. Understandably, some viewers can’t attend classes due to barriers such as transportation issues, childcare needs or employment schedules. This series delivers the information required to assist students to successfully prepare for the GED Test."
Funding for this one-year programming license and syndicated series was provided by a portion of the State’s mandated GED test registration fee, and enrichment programming proceeds from Plainville Adult and Continuing Education. Broadcasting will be administered by Nutmeg Public Access Television, Inc.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to provide additional resources to our adult learners through collaboration with Nutmeg Television," noted Dr. Kathleen Binkowski, Superintendent of Schools.
The following commercials are currently running on Nutmeg TV.
