Attendees: Steve Martino, Jack Mastrianni, Ron Pavano, Ken Prigodich, Barbara Willard, Rodney Wolfel

Also Present: Suzanne Greenbacker, Downes Construction: Mike Midgette, Facilities Director: Steve Busel

Absent: Ray Carroll, Dan Dube, George Iskra, Mel Masse, Becky Tyrrell

Chairman Ken Prigodich called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm.

STEVE MARTINO MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MAY 12, 2005 MEETING. RON PAVANO SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

Bill Mead from JCJ was not present at the meeting. There was no update on the project.

Mike Midgette from Downes Construction gave an update on the project.
In Area 3 Kindergarten Wing:
• The ceiling grids have been installed.
• The sprinkler drops are installed.
• Tele/Data wiring is installed.
• The electrical branch wiring is complete.
• The ceramic tile flooring is complete in the toilet rooms.
In Area 2:
• The ductwork is complete on the second floor.
• SOG at the connectors is complete.
• CMU is complete on the second floor.
• The exterior block and brick at the east elevation and the connecting corridor is complete. They are cleaning the exterior brick.
• The sprinklers mains are installed on the second floor.
• HVAC piping is installed in the building.
• The electrical work is complete in the electrical closets; branch conduit and wiring are installed.
• Painting has begun on the first floor.
• Drywall soffits and fiberglass corridor arches are constructed.
• Tele/Data wiring is installed.

• The window installation is complete.
Gym/Cafeteria/Serving Area
• All the concrete work is completed in the gym.
• The new underground plumbing is complete in the serving area, and the concrete floor will be replaced next week.
• The above ceiling MEP will begin next week.

Steve Martino asked when the rest of the asbestos would be removed from the building. Mr. Midgette told the committee that it would be removed when the students were out of school after June 21, 2005.

There will be a Walkthrough of the Linden Street School on Thursday, June 9th at 5:30 pm. The Building Committee, Town Council, Board of Education, Administrators, Robert Lee, Town Manager and Bob Metcalf, Finance Director has been invited to tour the building and observe the progress of the project. Representatives for JCJ and Downes Construction will also be available. Please meet Ken Prigodich and Ron Pavano in the Linden Street School Parking Lot at 5:30 pm.

Suzanne Greenbacker told the committee that Kathy Binkowski had signed the letters for the FF&E. The bids will begin to come in soon.

Ken Prigodich will speak with John Laskarzewski regarding the formal written proposal for the technology equipment that will be ordered.

The committee is very happy with the companies that were hired for the project. They feel they are all doing an excellent job.

Mike Midgette will have a proposal for the replacement of the old electrical panels for the next meeting.

Emily Sledge from JCJ contacted Barbara Willard regarding information about the playscape. She will sit down with the PTO and put a package together and submit it as Phase V. Discussion continued regarding the playscape. Ron Pavano suggested that Barbara Willard should speak with Colossale Concrete for some help.

RON PAVANO MADE A MOTION TO PAY ARGUS SECURITY GROUP, INC FOR INVOICE # 27160 DATED MAY 16, 2005 THE SUM OF $1,1232.20 FOR SERVICES. STEVE MARTINO SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

Ken Prigodich told the committee that hopefully they can do away with security next week because the building will be closed in. Discussion continued.

Mr. Prigodich would like to begin conversations regarding the plaque for the project. They need to select a location, size and who should be on the plaque. Discussion continued.

JACK MASTRIANNI MADE A MOTION TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. STEVE MARTINO SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 pm. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 6:30 pm in the Linden Street School Library.
