Mr. Wojtowicz told the committee that the project is still on schedule even though a few days were lost due to inclement weather and that concrete will be poured as soon as it is warm enough after heat is provided.

George Iskra gave an update on the Technology Sub-Committee meeting that was held prior to the meeting. John Laskarzewski and Kevin Ross will put together the Procurement Package for the project.

Mike Midgette from Downes Construction has been going over change orders with Bemis Associates. Discussion regarding equipment on the job site continued.

Mel Masse asked the committee to consider putting a water softener in the building. Plainville water is very hard and is damaging for equipment and piping. From maintenance standpoint, it would be a good idea. Paul Wojtowicz will have Mike Midgette check into it. Discussion regarding preventative maintenance continued. Downes Construction will have the requested information by the next meeting.

Suzanne Greenbacker wanted everyone to know the pictures that were taken of the beam being put in place are on the Plainville Community Schools website.

The Town Council has requested a meeting with the Plainville Community Schools’ Steering Committee, The Linden Street School Building Committee, The High School Building Committee and the Board of Education. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2005. The time has not been determined. Ken Prigodich is asking that the committee attend if they are available. (The meeting will be held in Council Chambers).
