Attendees: Daniel Dube, George Iskra, Steve Martino, Mel Masse, Jack Mastrianni, Ron Pavano, Ken Prigodich, Becky Tyrrell, Barbara Willard

Also Present: Suzanne Greenbacker, Jeter Cook & Jepson: Bill Mead, Downes Construction: Paul Wojtowicz and Mike Midgette

Absent: Ray Carroll, Rodney Wolfel

Ken Prigodich called the meeting to order at 6:40 pm.

MEL MASSE MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE SEPTEMBER 23, 2004 MEETING. RON PAVANO SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

Bill Mead from JCJ gave an update on the project. He reported for committee records:
➢ School Facilities have approved Addendums 3 and 4 and they can be sent to SFU for approval
➢ He received a letter from Marco Palmieri questioning repair of kitchen equipment, a mobile cooling lab, and floor finishes.

Bill Mead will make sure Mr. Palmieri sees the complete set of drawings. Mr. Mead feels Mr. Palmieri’s questions will then be answered. Bill Mead will contact him.

Mike Midgette from Downes Construction gave an update on the project.
➢ The abatement is complete in the portion of the gym.
➢ The Linden Street School parking lot is paved and will be stripped tomorrow.
➢ Lights will be installed in the parking lot.
➢ The west wing foundation is complete.
➢ The perimeter foundation is complete.
➢ Paving has been completed on the basketball courts.
➢ The interior footings are complete.
➢ The storm drains are in.

Paul Wojtowicz from Downes told the committee that most of the contracts have been sent to the companies.

Mike Midgette asked Bill Mead to give him some input regarding Peskon Moisture Solution. Discussion followed.

Mr. Mead will speak with JCJ and make the information available.

Barbara Willard is requesting information about the play area for the Parent Teacher Committee. The Linden Street School PTC would like to purchase equipment for the Pre-K area and for an upper grade area. Bill Mead will get her the information.

Ron Pavano suggested that the PTC contact area businesses for donations.

MEL MASSE MADE A MOTION TO PAY INVOICE # 14 FROM JCJ FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FROM SEPTEMBER 6, 2004 THROUGH OCTOBER 3, 2004 FOR $44,610.16. STEVE MARTINO SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

MEL MASSE MADE A MOTION TO PAY ADVANCED REPROGRAPHICS, LLC FOR INVOICE #15851 $177.00, INVOICE #15850 $16,929.26, INVOICE #15849 $2,278.00, INVOICE #15618 $80.50. STEVE MARTINO SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

MEL MASSE MADE A MOTION TO PAY INDEPENDENT MATERIALS TESTING LAB, INC. FOR INVOICE #6729C $1,581.00. JACK MASTRIANNI SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

MEL MASSE MADE A MOTION TO PAY BONGIOVANNI GROUP, INC. FOR INVOICE #10918 FOR $2,497.50. JACK MASTRIANNI SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.

Bill Mead asked Downes Construction if the test results have been good. Mike Midgette reported that they have had good test results.

JACK MASTRIANNI MADE A MOTION TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. BARBARA WILLARD SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. The meeting was adjourned at 7:05 pm.

There will be a technology subcommittee meeting on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at
6:30 pm at Linden Street School.
