Ken Prigodich called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.

Jeter Cook & Jepson gave the committee an update on their progress. Bill Mead of Jeter Cook and Jepson presented the committee with copies of authorization letters to Clarence Welti and Traffic Engineering Solutions for site borings and a traffic study approved at the last meeting. He presented the committee with updated floor plans in 8th inch scale and discussed changes made to the plans after meeting with staff at Linden Street School. He discussed his meeting with Jim Brown and Mel Masse of the Facilities Department of Plainville Community Schools and will contact Jim Brown to discuss the Hazmat management plan for the school. He also presented a checklist for LEED certification and discussed green building with the committee. Bill Mead told the committee that he began writing narratives for the project and will present them to Downes with an updated mechanical narrative. Bill Mead tentatively scheduled a review with the School Facilities Unit for March 2, 2004 and will contact the superintendent of schools to further discuss the review date. The committee discussed scheduling the review with the state and the possibility of hiring a local code consultant if the State's review process is longer than 30 days.

The committee reviewed the schedule with Downes Construction, who discussed the phasing of the project for completion in September 2005. The committee discussed parking issues during the first phase of construction. The committee also discussed the gym and cafeteria renovations. Downes Construction discussed egress issues during construction and access to the cafeteria and gym during the renovations of the corridor that accesses the choral room, gym and cafeteria.

RAY CARROLL MADE A MOTION TO ADJOURN. JAY STEEVES SECONDED THE MOTION. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
