Attendees will discuss and practice the skills required to communicate effectively with their children regarding the issue of bullying.

The program, which is supported by the Open Choice Academic, Student and Social Support grant, is open to all Middle School of Plainville parents and guardians. Childcare will be provided during the event. Please RSVP to Pat Osborne at or (860) 793-3250, extension 1104 by September 24, 2014, with childcare needs during the program.

"The Anti-Bullying Training Program for parents and guardians extends our work in this area from students, faculty and staff to parents and guardians," said Middle School of Plainville Dean of Students, Tom Laudadio.

"It is important for everyone in the community to work together to send a unified message against bullying. Having our school and parents work as one will help tremendously in this ongoing effort," noted Middle School of Plainville Principal, Matthew Guarino.
