School District Recognized For Excellence In Communication
The Plainville school district has received seven 2012 CABE Excellence in Educational Communications Awards, according to Superintendent of Schools, Jeffrey Kitching.
In recognition of the good work that is being done on a daily basis, CABE established the Awards of Excellence for Educational Communications in 1975. This year, Plainville Community Schools' awards include: Annual Report Category: First Place - Plainville Community Schools' Business Brief, Newsletter Category: Honorable Mention â€" Plainville Board of Education Community Letter newsletter, Special Project Category: Honorable Mention â€" Plainville Community Schools' Quick Facts Bookmark, Website Category: Honorable Mention â€" Plainville Community Schools' website, Going Green Category: Honorable Mention â€" Going Green essay, Course Selection Guide Category: Honorable Mention - Adult and Continuing Education Brochure, and Parent / Student Handbook Category: Honorable Mention â€" 2011-12 Linden Street School Calendar and Handbook. The communication awards will be presented by CABE later this year.
"We are very proud of our efforts in the area of communication. Our staff does an amazing job telling the story of our schools and school district. This recognition from CABE validates that work. These awards are a reflection of the efforts everyone in our organization makes to share information with the community," noted Kitching.
