Adult Education Program Receives Grant To Offer Summer Classes
The Plainville Adult and Continuing Education program has received a grant from the Plainville Community Fund of the Main Street Community Foundation. Funds from the grant will be used to offer summer classes at the Plainville Community Food Pantry, in the area of Adult Basic Education (ABE), and General Educational Development (GED). Jill Daley, Coordinator of Adult and Continuing Education said, "As a result of this summer programming, participants can expect the primary benefit of improved literacy in English and Mathematics, including interwoven instruction in business etiquette."
Classes will be limited to Plainville residents only and will be held over a six week period, July through August. Pre-registration is required. For more information, please call the Office of Adult and Continuing Education at (860) 793-3209.
