Board of Education Receives High Marks in Financial Audit
The Plainville Board of Education has received high marks for its financial management and reporting for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007, according to Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kathleen Binkowski.
The Board recently received Federal and State Audit Reports prepared by Blum, Shapiro & Company, together with the Town of Plainville’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for fiscal year ending June 30, 2007. Board of Education Business Manager Alan Schutz noted that no material weaknesses were identified in the Board’s financial reporting, and there were no significant deficiencies or noncompliance items. In addition, there were no issues or findings related to any of the Board’s state and federally funded programs.
"We are pleased with the stellar results of our annual financial audit, which are a testament to the diligence and efforts of Mr. Schutz and the Board of Education’s Business Office under his direction," commented Binkowski.
