Press Conference Scheduled To Announce High School Athlete's Scholarship To Division One University

A press conference will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at 5:30 PM in Room 400 at Plainville High School, to announce the signing of a letter of intent by Plainville High School Senior Women’s Basketball Player Desiree Pina to attend Fairfield University on a full basketball scholarship. Pina, who recently reached the 1,000 point milestone this season, will be the first Plainville High School Girl’s Basketball player to be signed by a Division One university.

The press conference will precede the Girl’s Varsity home game against East Catholic High School, which begins at 7:00 PM. Fairfield University Head Women’s Basketball Coach Joe Frager is scheduled to attend the game.
