Concepts and Skills: Graphing There are different ways to organize and report the same data
-make a plan for collecting data
-organize data using tally sheets
-display data in graphs and/or charts
* Sorting and organizing data is a helpful tool for analyzing and comparing
* A graph can be a representation of data and used for analysis

 Skills and Concepts: Measurement

* There are many different ways to measure any given object
-construct measuring devices
* A measurement unit can be used to compare the measure of several objects
-measure and compare lengths using standard units
-use tools to measure lengths
* Knowing the measurements of familiar objects makes estimating unknown measures easier
-estimate and measure classroom objects using a variety of standard and non-standard units
* Measuring an object involves recognizing a measurable attribute, choosing an appropriate unit (customary or metric), comparing the unit to the object, and reporting the number of units
-select the appropriate unit of measure for solving problems
* There are standard units of length, weight, and capacity
-solve problems involving capacity
* There is a relationship among cups, pints, and quarts
-determine the relationship between cups and pints; cups and quarts; pints and quarts
